Self Directed IRA Investing

Hi, my name is Will Sugg, I live in Seattle, WA, and I am an individual investor, not an attorney or securities broker.  Wow, that sounds like a 12 step intro….   I’m just 1 guy taking control of my own future by investing in what I know, and things that have taken me several years to learn.   

I’ve been investing using my IRA funds for about 3 years in a self directed IRA account.  I believe this is the best way to make sure that you will end up with the nest-egg that you want at retirement, instead of hoping that the market will return X% this year.  When I invest I know from the beginning what my return is and have several ways to profitably exit.  Since the responsibility is mine to make sure that the investment will pay off I take extra care in understanding what I’m investing in.  I believe that only I have my own best interest in mind when it comes to retirement investing, not some manager that I don’t know or will ever know.  I’ll share with you what I invest in, how I invest it, so that you can do it too.  

All the posts are my opinion and what I do, which may or may not be the best thing for you to do. 

If you read something here and in a great flash of inspiration think that you should go run out and try this yourself with your own money, make sure to do your own due diligence to fully understand what you are investing in.
